About Me

Amanda Wells is a New York based makeup artist and hair stylist. She has always been intrigued by the characters created in horror and sci-fi films as well as how the actors transform on screen. It is this interest in manifesting an idea into a physical form that led her to study visual arts. Amanda attended Suffolk County Community College where she studied painting and drawing thus earning an Associates degree.
Realizing her passion for makeup and character design was far greater than painting, she attended Make-up Designory (MUD) in New York City and completed the Masters program in September 2018. During this intensive training she has designed makeup and hair for several beauty and fashion photoshoots. In November 2018 Amanda was a part of RAW presents: OVATION NYC, an art show experience that highlights the talents of many different types of artists that she was grateful to take part in. Amanda strives to continue designing beautiful makeup and bringing life to imaginary characters. She hopes her art motivates others to work for their dreams and reach their goals, just like her inspirations and educators have done for her.
